This place was so adorable . We paid ahead of time online when we made our reservation. You have to pay for snacks for the animals. They have slippers for you to change into and feeding required you to wear gloves which they provide. The Foxes were adorable and the meerkats were super snuggly.

my daughter and I enjoyed our time here. we did 1 hour and we're able to see all the animals. the hedgehog's don't really do much so we just fed them and looked at them. you can't interact with the geckos so we took pic's. the Ferrets were super fun and loved to play! the Foxes were energetic and loved playing if you had food! once the foxes also got tired and played down, then we could pet them lots! the last stop was the meerkats, and they talked so much! they were a bit aggressive around the food, but once the food was gone they were very fun and even cuddled you! what a great time we had!! I recommend this for a date or good time with kids who can follow rules. the staff have lots of instructions to follow between spaces and handling procedures. the animals are sweet and well taken care of. the staff were also very nice and made sure everyone was having a good time, thank you!

Date visited: April 22, 2023 Happy to finally visit this animal cafe in Yokohama located at Chinatown. First time to see close and touch hedgehogs/ferrets/meerkats/lizards. Hedgehogs were my favorite, you can touch them wearing gloves. The animals were clean and healthy, they are well taken cared of. The place is clean, separate gloves are used for different animals and there are 2 drink vending machines where you can have 1 free drink. The staff were friendly, attentive and they were enough to ensure the safety of the animals and visitors. A wonderful animal cafe to play with these cute creatures. Kids would love and enjoy it here too.

This is not really a Cafe but an interactive "place" to see hedgehogs, fox and meerkat. The entrance price does include a self-serve drink from the machine. The hedgehogs were very interested in the food. It's a little hard picking them up without startling them in the beginning. But the staff was nice to show us how to do it and helping us throughout our stay. We transition from hedgehog to the fox area and then to the meerkat. They only allow 4-5 people into the box area at a time and then only 2-3 into the meerkat area. We have to sanitize our hands everytime we transition. The animals all seemed friendly and happy.

Animals looked like well looked after, staff are friendly and a great experience for myself and my daughter. We know how to look after animals and let the animals approach us instead of trying to approach them. They were so comfortable with us two meerkats climbed into my jacket and fell asleep under my arm Only issue we have is with some people come in and act as if never touched an animal as we saw one person nearly drop one of the hedgehogs as held it too high.

I had never seen hedgehogs before so this was “fun”! There’s another store with the same name in Tokyo so I decided to go to this one since I was in the area. I did some basic reading about hedgehogs beforehand and unfortunately (SPOILER ALERT: this will probably ruin your experience) hedgehogs are nocturnal and don’t really like people. The entire store is very brightly lit during the day, and hedgehogs hate light. You can pick them up with gloves, but they are very sensitive and don’t really like people (jumping every time I slightly moved near them), so the store posted handling precautions in BIG TEXT on the walls - the entire store is actually very cutely decorated with hedgehog facts on the walls in very big text, but you’d probably be too distracted with the animals to absorb any of the factual content (I didn’t). And the other strange part is they posted several types of hedgehogs on the walls, but they all looked exactly the same to me. Mostly because they were sleeping so they were all balls of spikes So I didn’t get anything from the wall facts, really. It’s also really nasty that you have to wear the same thick gloves that everyone else has used to hold them if you want to. After putting on the nasty gloves, they were all still resting, as usual, and I didn’t want to become yet another animal abuser amongst increasing global animal abuse. So I didn’t hold them at all, which is actually really sad since this is basically the entire point of the store - to interact with them. Otherwise, just go on Google Images and save your money. Actually, this is what I recommend the most - stop all clientele now since this entire store is basically severe animal rights abuse. There was also a weasel/ferret (I don’t know which) and it was a surprise since the staff never introduced it, and there are signs that you can’t feed it, so its name isn’t printed on the snacks. And there’s nothing written about it on the walls. This animal was the cutest and I would have liked to hold it except (IMPORTANT:) I never held any of the animals since the staff service was HORRIBLE, so I was extremely uncomfortable. And there’s a big written precaution that the foxes will bite you. They aren’t as cute and stepped on me for food. All the animals except the meerkats were mostly asleep. The meerkats were the most active, a total of two and neither were asleep. I don’t think they fed them for the last month so they were begging for food and running crazily when they first saw me enter across the big room. TLDR; So the hedgehogs outnumbered all the other animals (there’s no practical reason for this combination of animals) but we’re all mostly asleep. Since they’re nocturnal. And shouldn’t be in a brightly lit daytime store. With lots of people. Since they hate people. And why this place exists in the first place… (honestly don’t think it will last very long before a lot of complaints, but I don’t know if any animal rights activists have been to Japan since 3 years of shutdowns). So basically, it’s the same as a zoo, and you can pretty much only take pictures or get bitten while feeding them. And like the others say, there’s no food for people. (Unless…………….) Which is obvious, except since every store with animals is called a cafe in Japan, I never even noticed until I read the other reviews, because the time limit was only 45 minutes and it goes by really fast (longer options were too costly to be worth it - it was basically just paying for a highly overpriced photography session).

There are only drinks but not actually food, but it’s not an issue since the main fun part is the animals!! The service was great and I appreciated the staff carefully looking out for the animals. Hedgehogs were super cute, and you can buy them there. My least favorite was the Fennec Foxes only because they couldn’t care less about humans and mainly want food. My favorite was definitely the meerkat super sweet and loves food made some silly sounds, and decided to stick its snout up my nose for whatever reason so watch out!! Staff were so sweet and helpful even though I don’t speak Japanese!
